Sutasoma, Snake and Tiger

This figure was my first sandalwood carving. Sandalwood grows slowly, the trunks only reach a small diameter. Therefore, figures made of this wood are usually relatively small, which requires a high degree of artistry to depict all the details on a small scale.

What you see here is Sutasoma with a tiger. Of course there is a mythological story behind, as soon as I update this webpage I will add some information.
