My Collection
Find my collectibles below in alphabetical order. Click on a collectible for data, background information and higher resolution photos. Some collectibles come with provenance information, and it's those little background stories that give the artworks a personality in the first place. Therefore, in addition to a few facts, you will always find some small talk.
Regarding the naming of the characters and the mythological tales, please read the note at the bottom of this page. I try my best to do research and use correct descriptions. But I'm thankful for every hint and help of yours. If there is something incorrect please message me.
Please respect the fairness rules and ask me for permission if you want to pin or otherwise use an image from this website.

Names and Stories
The names of the characters as well as the mythological stories behind each character vary depending on the source used. Hinduism has many different interpretations, and so its gods are given different meanings and relationships to each other. Balinese Hinduism, for example, differs significantly from Indian Hinduism in its narratives.
If we look at the naming of characters, the IAST (International Alphabet of Sanskrit Transliteration) is used internationally for standardisation. However, this scheme uses special characters that are unusual or incomprehensible in everyday writing. To make this website easy to read and to facilitate pronunciation in English, I use the ISTA with the most widely used spellings in English-language publications. This inevitably requires compromises that are not scientifically correct.
Typically, but not always, the deities are given the name Devi (female) or Deva (male), which means "deity" in Sanskrit. I have mostly dispensed with the suffix, as it is not obligatory. Nevertheless, the goddess Ratih, for example, can also be called Devi Ratih.
I hope to provide the best possible naming, storytelling and readability for both interested and advanced readers. If you notice any errors, please do not hesitate to contact me.
